Iroquois Middle School, Niskayuna NY

10/22

Today the 8th grade worked on finnishing their glazing, some have already gotten their peices out of the kiln and are re-working them, others have finnished that and are instead working on abstracted paintings which are made with india-inked outlines, painted with a mixture of tempra paint and elmer's (non-school grade) glue, then dried and india ink is painted on the top. Any areas with a small amount of glue, the india ink sticks when it is washed off, the glue acts as a resist.

The 7th grade finnished up 3D sculptures, gessoing figures, painting bases, work on perspective drawings.

6th grade 5th period, finnish up suns.

6th grade 6th period, day off, field trip.

6th grade 7th period, clay demonstration to start suns

Tomorrow is a day that Bryce has something going on for soccer all day so he has arranged for a sub.
